How it works
At Swaggerless Studios we make finding, booking, sharing and renting studio space easy.
FAQs for Studio Hosts
Is it free to become a studio host? Yes! Listing your studio and becoming a host is free!
How will I know when someone books my studio? You’ll receive an email notifying you that you have a request. Login to your profile to accept or reject the booking.
How long do I have to accept the booking? You have 3 days to accept the booking. If you don’t accept within 3 days, all the money will return to the artists and the booking is canceled.
How do I receive payment? Artists pay to use your studio upfront through our online booking system. We use PayPal and Stripe to process the payment which goes directly to you. You can setup a PayPal account and connect it to your profile in order to receive payment. Or you can use ACH with Stripe and connect your bank account.
Is there a service fee for booking? Yes, there is a $3 or 12% service fee for booking with PayPal and a $3.75 or 15% service fee for booking with Stripe. PayPal also has their own fees/terms which you can learn more about here.
How much should I charge for artists to use my studio? That’s completely up to you, but keep in mind the booking service fee. Also consider if artists will be using your equipment or materials.
What types of booking time are available? Book by hour, day, week, or month. It’s up to you!
Can I set my own calendar schedule? Yes! For hourly or daily rentals you can use our built-in “availability calendar.” You set your available hours. When someone books a timeslot, it’s marked as unavailable to prevent double booking.
How many people can book at once and how do I keep track? If you’re using the built-in “availability calendar” for hourly or daily rentals, the calendar will only allow for one artist to book a timeslot at a time to prevent double booking. If you have space for multiple artists to work at once, use the options without the “availability calendar.”
What if I want to share my studio with artists for free? We think that’s awesome! Just select “Free” under “listing type” and you’re good to go. You won’t have a payment option but artists will still be able to contact you.
What happens if my studio is full or I no longer want to host? No worries! You can hit “close listing” in your profile so it will hide it from the rest of the creative community. You can always bring it back when you’re ready.
I still have questions. Who should I contact? Happy to help! Email firstname.lastname@example.org
